Visit to the Neon and Light Museum
Chicago gallerist Ken Saunders has created a new “immersive art experience” featuring a unique sub-genre of glass art. His Neon and Light Museum, open through November 30, 2021, is a stunning mix of color and 3-D form.
About twenty members of MCGAG visited the museum on October 27. Ken gave a presentation about the science and creative use of neon and other gasses to create brightly-lit images of all kinds. From the prosaic business signs of the mid-20th century to today’s vibrant artwork, neon presents an arresting image to the viewer.
